DEAR LINA is a poetic story about the life of Colombian, Lina Maria Rincon. Driven by her passion for painting, Lina seeks to become an artist in USA. Her journey leads to meeting and marrying Norwegian filmmaker, Finn E. Bugge, who spent five years making this film about her. The story embraces Lina's account of her memories - looking back at her family life and the violence under Pablo Escobar, questioning if and how these experiences have impacted her, while taking on the challenges of living abroad.
